Payment and Refund Policy
Last updated: 29 October 2026.
Scope of This Policy
This Payment and Refund Policy applies to all purchases of courses, training modules, and related digital resources offered through dailymix. The services covered include professional development programmes focused on live television production, such as studio equipment integration, dynamic camera techniques, acoustic optimisation, lighting setups, and reliable production processes for news programmes, interviews, and live shows. It governs transactions made by customers located in the United Kingdom and explains how payments are handled, when contracts are formed, and under what circumstances refunds may be issued. This policy does not cover physical goods or in-person events unless explicitly stated in the course description.
Prices, Currencies, Taxes and Additional Charges
All listed prices are in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include value added tax (VAT) at the prevailing UK rate unless otherwise indicated. Additional charges may apply for optional extras such as extended access periods, printed materials or certification fees. dailymix reserves the right to adjust prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed. Customers are responsible for any currency conversion fees imposed by their payment provider. Tax invoices are provided electronically upon request and must be retained for record-keeping purposes.
Accepted Payment Methods, Authorisation and Security
Payments are accepted via major credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and approved third-party processors compliant with UK financial regulations. Authorisation occurs immediately upon submission of payment details. All transactions are secured using industry-standard encryption and comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard. dailymix does not store full card details; these are handled exclusively by the payment gateway. In the event of a declined payment, the order will not be processed until successful authorisation is obtained.
Order Confirmation and Contract Formation
A binding contract is formed only when dailymix sends a written confirmation email following receipt of payment. This confirmation outlines the specific course details, access period, and applicable terms. Until this confirmation is issued, no contract exists and any payment received will be treated as an authorisation hold. Customers should review the confirmation carefully and contact dailymix immediately if any details appear incorrect.
Cancellation Rights and Applicable Periods
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of contract formation during which they may cancel without providing a reason. For digital content, this right is lost once download or streaming access begins if the customer has given prior consent. Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to hello-pipelinemedia@salford.ac.uk. Courses that have commenced or where access credentials have been issued may be subject to partial or full forfeiture of fees depending on usage.
Refund Eligibility, Exclusions and Non-Refundable Items
Refunds are available for cancellations within the cooling-off period where no substantial access has occurred. Non-refundable items include any portion of the course already completed, promotional bundles, and certificates already issued. Refunds will not be granted for change of mind after the cooling-off period, failure to meet technical requirements, or dissatisfaction with course content that was accurately described at purchase. Special consideration may be given in cases of documented technical failure on the part of dailymix.
Step-by-Step Procedure to Request a Refund
To request a refund, customers must email hello-pipelinemedia@salford.ac.uk with the subject line “Refund Request” and include the order number, full name, date of purchase, and a clear statement of the reason. Supporting evidence, such as screenshots of access issues, should be attached where relevant. Requests received outside business hours will be processed on the next working day. Incomplete submissions will be returned for additional information.
Inspection, Approval, Rejection and Notification
Each refund request is reviewed within ten working days. dailymix will examine usage logs, payment records, and any supporting documentation. Approval results in immediate notification by email together with details of the refund amount and timeline. Rejection will include a written explanation and information on any available appeal process. Customers may request a review of a rejected claim by providing further evidence within seven days of notification.
Refund Method, Processing Time and Receipt of Funds
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method. Processing typically takes five to ten working days after approval, although bank transfer refunds may require up to fourteen days depending on the recipient institution. Customers will receive confirmation once the refund has been dispatched. It is the customer’s responsibility to check their account statements; dailymix accepts no liability for delays caused by third-party banks.
Special Rules for Digital Content, Subscriptions and Promotional Offers
Digital course access is granted immediately upon payment confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least seven days before the renewal date. Promotional offers are non-transferable and refunds on discounted purchases are calculated on the discounted price paid. Access to recorded sessions or downloadable resources remains subject to the same cooling-off limitations as live courses.
Failed Payments, Duplicate Charges, Chargebacks and Suspected Fraud
Failed payments must be resolved within seven days or the reservation will be released. Duplicate charges are investigated promptly and corrected within five working days. Chargeback requests are treated as disputes and may result in temporary suspension of access pending resolution. Suspected fraudulent activity will be reported to the relevant authorities and may lead to permanent account termination without refund.
Mandatory Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy affects statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, or UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Customers retain the right to seek redress through the courts or alternative dispute resolution schemes if they believe their rights have been infringed.
