From Monako to Real Madrid

Real Madrid have signed the superstar James Rodriguez from Colombia, who was the top scorer in the 2014 WC and a part of the team of the tournament, from Monaco for a fee which could reach $115 million. Rodriguez won the Golden Boot with 6 goals in 5 matches in World Cup in Brasil as Colombia reached the quarter-finals. Rodriguez’s move is the fourth most expensive transfer of all time after those of new team-mates Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo and Luis Suarez from Barcelona. The former Porto forward won the Portuguese league three years in a row before joining Monaco last season, where he scored 9 goals in 34 Ligue 1 games.
